A calm and simple guide for your next chapter.
Why this matters
Menopause is a significant transition — emotionally, physically, and energetically. As hormone levels stabilise at new set points, you may experience changes in sleep, mood, heat regulation, or overall wellbeing.
Essential oils can offer grounding, comfort, and emotional steadiness, but they must be used thoughtfully. My approach focuses on gentle support rather than trying to “fix” hormones.
Every session uses oils that are safe, soothing, and appropriate for the needs of a menopausal body. You never need to guess what’s safe — I take care of that for you.
How I keep your treatments safe
✔️ Calm, low-to-moderate dilutions Your blends are tailored to your skin, sensitivity levels, and symptoms.
✔️ No overstimulating or “hormone reset” oils I avoid oils that push the body too hard or mimic hormone activity.
✔️ Focused on comfort and nervous system support The goal is ease, grounding, and emotional steadiness.
✔️ No commercial menopause blends These often contain unsuitable oils or unbalanced concentrations.
✔️ Completely personalised Your blend adapts to your symptoms — such as sleep changes, heat regulation, emotional shifts, dryness, or tension.
Oils I commonly use during menopause
Chosen for grounding, balance, emotional ease, and deep calm:
Lavender
Roman chamomile
Bergamot
Sweet orange or mandarin
Neroli
Frankincense
Sandalwood
Cedarwood
Vetiver (tiny amounts)
Clary sage (when helpful and appropriate)
Rose (small amounts)
Geranium (carefully balanced)
These support emotional regulation, grounding, sleep, and inner steadiness.
Oils I avoid during menopause
To keep treatments safe and comfortable, I avoid:
Strongly stimulating oils (e.g. rosemary, eucalyptus in high amounts)
Hot oils (cinnamon, clove, oregano, thyme)
“Hormone reset” or “menopause cure” blends
Oils marketed for internal use during menopause
Any oils that aggravate heat, hot flushes, headaches, or irritation
Menopause is best supported with calm, grounding, steady approaches.
How I tailor blends to your symptoms
For sleep changes
Deeply calming oils such as sandalwood, lavender, vetiver (tiny amounts), or roman chamomile.
For hot flushes or heat sensitivity
Cooling citrus oils, gentle florals, and woods that don’t raise body heat.
For emotional shifts
Neroli, frankincense, cedarwood, bergamot, and lavender for emotional regulation.
For tension or overwhelm
Grounding woods and nervous-system steadying blends.
Your blend is always adjusted to how your body and mind feel on the day.
What you may notice during treatments
You may feel:
calmer and more centred
emotionally supported
gently grounded
soothed through physical tension
cooled and more regulated
comforted during this stage of transition
The intention is gentle support, not forcing hormonal change — helping your body feel held and balanced.
